MSA Winter Meeting

Wednesday, February 11: Day 1

After the MSA Board Meeting, attendees will enjoy a group outing to Toledo Spirits, where we’ll share lunch, tour the distillery, enjoy a guided tasting, and take part in a mixology class. It’s the perfect chance to relax, network, and kick off the Winter Meeting in style. Before returing to the hotel for the evening reception & dinner.

Thursday, February 12: Day 2

The day begins with breakfast and our General Membership Meeting, followed by a new addition to the Winter Meeting - an MSA Service Project. Together, we’ll support Connecting Kids to Meals, a local nonprofit that provides hot, healthy meals to children in Northwest Ohio. We’ll be helping pack weekend meal bags for distribution to kids in need.

Connecting Kids to Meals partners with over 200 sites, including schools, afterschool programs, libraries, and community shelters, and serves approximately 600,000 meals each year. In Lucas County, one in four children face hunger regularly, making this service project a meaningful way for MSA members to give back to the local community.

We will end the meeting with a Working Lunch featuring a workshop on Succession Planning.

Speaker: Craig Doescher, Founder and President, Doescher Group

Craig Doescher will lead an engaging workshop on succession planning, exploring key considerations and options for business owners preparing for the future. With a background that spans investment banking, private equity, and family-owned businesses, Craig brings a wealth of insight into the operational and financial decisions that shape long-term success.

Craig Doescher is the Founder and President of Doescher Group. Craig’s background in extensive operating and financial experience led to the creation of Doescher Group, where they are leveling the playing field for self-made business owners. Doescher Group provides trusted guidance to business owners seeking to navigate unfamiliar financial terrain, whether they are looking to evolve or exit their business. Prior to Doescher Group, Craig began his career as an investment banker in New York City with Goldman, Sachs & Co., and The Blackstone Group, working in operations roles at closely held family businesses and startups, serving as an investment professional and portfolio company CFO at a family office. Craig holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and a Master of Business Administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
