Michigan Sign Specialist Exam Prep Class - Summer Session

The Midwest Sign Association is proud to be the new provider of the required 10-hour Michigan Sign Specialist Exam Prep Class! This training, along with other requirements, is a required element to apply to the State of Michigan to be able to sit for the exam. This class will help prepare an experienced sign professional for the State of Michigan's Sign Specialist Exam. Sign up for one of the upcoming in-person classes below, and be on the way to becoming a licensed Sign Specialist Electrician in the State of Michigan.

MSA will provide three sessions per year (Spring, Summer and Fall). Each session includes two parts:

1. A 90-minute online class held approximately two weeks before the in-person class
2. An 8.5-hour in-person class

Both parts are required to receive your certificate at the conclusion of the in-person class.

📅 Summer 2025 Session

• Online Class: July 24, 5:30–7:00 PM
• In-Person Class: August 8, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM in Okemos, MI

MSA's in-person classes will be held at the Association Management Resources (AMR) offices located at 2123 University Drive, Suite 150, Okemos, Michigan 48864. Parking is free and lunch will be provided.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations and refund requests must be submitted to Midwest Sign Association (MSA) at kstanke@managedbyamr.com and received no later than August 4, 2025. You will have the option to roll your class registration forward to another scheduled class or receive a full refund minus a $25 administrative fee. There will be no refunds for any reason after August 4, 2025.  

No Shows: If you do not cancel in writing by August 4, 2025 to MSA and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment.

Substitutions: Written notification of substitutions must be submitted to kstanke@managedbyamr.com and received by August 4, 2025; no penalty fee will be assessed for substitutions. You may substitute registrants (from the same office/company) prior to the class. This will only be done when the substitute registrant is attending the same class as the original registrant, and there is no monetary difference.  Please contact the MSA Business Office at 734-239-8034 for assistance.
